Inspiring a new generation – November 2013

Youth Today, Leaders of Tomorrow”, as famously quoted by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad. The Engineering Students of Swinburne University Sarawak gave SCABLE the opportunity to help inspire a ‘new generation of professionals’ during their factory visit on the 6th of November 2013.

The 20-person group comprising of both undergraduates and lecturers were greeted warmly by staff members, followed by a general briefing of SCABLE before being taken on informative tour through the factories.

During the tour, many students expressed great interest at the inner-workings of factory machinery, enthusiastically asking questions on the finer points of cable-making. Staff members were only too happy to assist, and it was indeed a productive site visit for everyone.
